Welcome to
Women, Writing, Rights, and Rites: Reimagining the Ecosystem of Literary Arts
Across Europe's literary sector, women remain underrepresented as writers, in publishing decisions, and in the canons taught in schools. The W.Write project was created to address this gender imbalance. The initiative seeks to support female writers through opportunities for residencies, mentoring, and creative camps while generating new research and practical tools to drive change across publishing and education.
Within this wider effort, Transitions is shaping how the project communicates these issues to the wider public, developing the project's Visual Identity Guide and designing a Social Awareness Campaign through digital media and events such as book festivals.
By turning W.Write’s work and research into public-facing campaigns, Transitions helps raise awareness of gender inequality in the literary sector and build momentum for change.
