On August 19, Transitions presented its playful approach to media literacy at the Festival of Media Education in Prague, organized by Seznam.cz. During the workshop Media Literacy That Connects and Engages Across Generations, participants tested the new board game Člověče, neklikej! (“Don’t Click, Mate!”). Rather than relying on lectures or fear-based messaging, the game uses realistic online situations, discussion, and collaborative problem-solving to strengthen resilience to misinformation, scams, and manipulation. Feedback collected during the session will inform the game’s next version.

On September 18, Kateřina Lukaničová will represent Transitions at the Level Up National Forum in Sofia, Bulgaria. The forum focuses on media literacy in regional communities, and Kateřina will share Transitions’ experience of working with older adults and local partners in the Czech Republic, including lessons from participatory and game-based learning.
These activities are also feeding into Transitions’ autumn media literacy program for older adults. From September onwards, the team is bringing workshops and playful educational tools to libraries and community organizations in locations including Horažďovice, Kunčina, Chomutov, Klatovy, Olomouc, České Budějovice, and Jihlava. The program will culminate in a stakeholder barcamp in Prague on October 9, connecting the work developed through the Level Up, SUM, and CADiDE projects.
