SoJo Europe promotes and supports solutions-oriented journalism across Europe.

The project supports media outlets and journalists in shifting from problem-saturated coverage to stories that also highlight responses, innovation, and resilience. By providing training, mentoring, and grant funding, SoJo Europe aims to strengthen public trust in journalism and encourage more constructive public dialogue in a time of widespread news avoidance, cynicism, and polarization.

With a combination of in-person and online training, and collaborative peer-learning sessions, participating journalists are introduced to the core principles of solutions journalism (evidence-based reporting on responses to societal challenges, presenting stories that provide context and insight without losing critical depth).

The project brings together a cohort of 18 media outlets and journalism organizations to build a pan-European network committed to meaningful, impactful reporting.
