Fact-Checked: Journalists and Activists Against Lies and Propaganda
Fact-checked is a Serbia-focused project that brings together journalists and civil society activists to counter disinformation and political propaganda. In a deeply polarized media environment, the project creates a collaborative space for training, knowledge exchange, and joint action, reinforcing fact-based journalism and civic advocacy. It equips participants with the tools to verify information and push back against misinformation campaigns that threaten democratic discourse.
The project includes workshops, public events, and cross-sector collaborations aimed at fostering a culture of accountability and transparency in the media. It also supports the creation of compelling, fact-checked content and encourages cooperation between media outlets and NGOs, looking to build a network of trusted voices dedicated to challenging disinformation and improving media literacy among the Serbian public.
