Level Up, a two-year project Transitions ran together with Maldita.es from Spain and the Media Literacy Coalition from Bulgaria, wrapped up this month. Its aim was to strengthen media literacy among older people and, above all, to support those who work with them every day: librarians, community workers and trainers. Along the way, we tried out approaches that were new to us, especially gamification, and created new materials for our community. This year, the Level Up exhibition traveled to a number of Czech libraries and senior centers.
The final Czech Level Up Forum took place on 9 October in Prague as a Barcamp, organized together with Centrum Elpida. We did not want to simply present results. Participants explored and tried out the project’s materials, but above all we used the forum to start planning new approaches with them, ones we can build on after Level Up.
